The “Da Vinci” Robot Arrives at the National Cancer Institute

Milan, October 2, 2024 – The surgical department of the National Cancer Institute of Milan has been enhanced with the Da Vinci Xi, the most advanced robotic system for minimally invasive surgery. This cutting-edge technology enables highly precise procedures, making it possible to perform complex operations that would otherwise require traditional open surgery.
This milestone in technological innovation has been made possible thanks to a generous donation from Veronica Gusa de Dragan, President of Veroniki Holding S.p.A.. It also reflects a significant commitment by the National Cancer Institute of Milan, which has invested in the creation of a new dedicated operating room to house and operate the robot.
